How Airocide® Air Purifiers Work
Airocide’s patented Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) technology completely traps and destroys harmful airborne microorganisms and pollutants that cannot be caught by HEPA filters.
A photocatalyst incorporating TiO2 is irradiated with photons from our proprietary UV lights, forming hydroxyl radicals which reduce to trace elements of CO2 and water. The catalyst surface absorbs and eliminates airborne pollutants like VOCs (including Ethylene), mold, bacteria, pathogens, viruses and odors.
